Role description and task arrangements

We are looking for an experienced Social Domain Policy Advisor who wants to take the lead, together with our (own) senior policy advisor, in the further development of the policy team within the Social Domain. This is a new and young policy team. On the one hand you will work as a substantive policy advisor and on the other hand you will support our young policy advisors in their development. It is an advantage that this senior policy advisor has experience with the labor market theme.

We are looking for someone for preferably 32 hours per week or more. Starting at 24 hours per week is negotiable.

What will you do?
  • Together with colleagues, you will be responsible for the social domain policy within the municipalities of Dinkelland and Tubbergen. How exactly we will shape this depends on your knowledge and experience and the number of hours you can work.
  • You will work on the further development of local policies. You are aware of regional and national developments. You then link these developments back to them and include them in your strategic advice.
  • You will mentor young policy advisors in their development.
  • You seek coordination with your fellow policy advisors, as well as cross-departmental colleagues such as the physical domain and migration. This is how you arrive at the most appropriate advice.
  • You identify bottlenecks in the implementation of policy and contribute to improvements. You do this in collaboration with your fellow policy advisors, but also with colleagues outside your department.

What do you need for that?
  • You have experience as a policy advisor and therefore also with drafting policy papers. You have knowledge of and affinity with the social domain and labor market
  • You have the skills to convey this to new colleagues.
  • You know the role of a public servant in a political-administrative environment.
  • We work for and with our residents, so it is important that you feel socially engaged and have a vision of community-oriented work.
  • You have at least a completed college education.
