Role description and task arrangements

This is your new job
  • You make home visits and clarify questions and uncertainties in all areas of life of both the young person and his/her educator(s). You formulate with parents and, where possible, the young person the desired results and you look together for an appropriate solution in which own strengths and the supporting field play an important role. If necessary you refer within the youth aid.
  • You will pick up and investigate incoming reports regarding child safety issues. Think of issues such as child abuse or domestic violence. From here you make an assessment of the child's safety and consult with a multidisciplinary team about the further approach.
  • You draw up safety plans with parents and involved social workers in order to ensure safety and work towards desired results for the youth and the family.
  • You ask the Child Protection Council to investigate when there is no longer agreement with parents and the youth's development is threatened and/or when there is an unsafe parenting situation.
  • You collaborate with chain partners, especially education (but also Safe Home, certified institutions, primary care physicians' practitioners) and you strengthen your network.
Job requirements
- You have completed a relevant HBO education.
- You have experience in youth care and are familiar with working for a municipality?
- You are registered in the youth register (SKJ).
- You can think in a problem-solving way by looking at an issue or problem from different
perspectives.
- You have an open attitude towards others and are easy to talk to.
- You like to work independently, but you are also emphatically focused on
seeking connection. You use this characteristic to develop, maintain and strengthen networks at the resident level.

- You take the lead when the situation demands it and are able to bring people along.
