Role description and task arrangements
The Municipality of Hellendoorn is a dynamic area with 36,000 inhabitants, centrally located in Overijssel between Twente and Salland. Our municipality is surrounded by beautiful natural areas, including National Park the Salland and Twents Reggedal. Would you like to work with residents, colleagues and (cultural) partners to promote the cultural landscape in our municipality? Grab your chance: we are looking for temporary reinforcement for one year.
Culture Policy Advisor
Your role
As policy advisor Culture you develop a clear, executable and supported cultural policy plan with a corresponding implementation agenda. You investigate the needs and opportunities in the cultural field and involve residents, associations, cultural organizations and creators. On this basis you translate signals and initiatives into policy that gives direction to the municipal cultural policy for the coming years. You support local initiatives, facilitate grant applications and stimulate collaborations that strengthen local culture. You work on a project basis, actively seek connections and ensure support from internal and external partners. In this way you make a concrete contribution to a cultural policy that inspires, connects and has a social effect.

Culture Policy Advisor
Your role

Your duties
- Realize a supported cultural policy plan including implementation agenda in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform policy tasks and projects in the field of local culture such as local broadcasting and historical societies.
- Participate in the Twente cultural region and contribute to regional collaborations.
- Advising management and board on choices within the cultural domain.
- Listening carefully and having an eye for the wishes of those involved and arriving at clear, thoughtful advice based on that.
- Create support for policies and projects through intensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a policy advisor.

- Ability to turn vision into concrete plans and persuasive arguments.
- An independent work attitude and team spirit: you enjoy working alone as much as together.
