Role description and task arrangements

Digital Accessibility Advisor
  • You are our advisor in the field of digital accessibility. As a sparring partner for all kinds of issues, you play an important role and ensure support throughout the organization. You do this by actively participating in consultations, working groups and projects, and (where logical) exchanging knowledge with other municipalities. For example, you are the first point of contact for digital accessibility and you coordinate activities for this;
  • You are responsible for drafting and implementing the policy on digital accessibility within the municipality (ambition level + implementation plan). You do this together with the service director and website coordinator. Together you ensure that digital accessibility becomes a permanent part of the organization. Your activities are executive, organizational and policy related;
  • You will monitor the accessibility of our websites and web content according to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) guidelines.. You have regular contact with the parties conducting accessibility tests and keep the national register of accessibility declarations up to date;
  • You will advise the board and management on developments, priorities and financial issues surrounding digital accessibility. This includes preparing (annual) reports on the progress of digital accessibility within municipal services and communication for management and board;
  • You advise on training and education of your colleagues such as website editors and web content developers.

  • Knowledge of Digital Accessibility (WCAG) and being able to translate these guidelines into accessible web content;
  • Experience in project management and managing internal teams and external partners.
