Purpose of the function
Participating to the fullest extent possible. That is what we want to achieve with and for our residents from Borne, Hengelo and Haaksbergen, whereby we look at the best approach from resident to resident. The integration counselor we are currently looking for has two goals. The first focuses on residents who fell under the old Integration Act and have not yet successfully completed it. With this group you look at the possibility of still doing this and at the same time finding a place to participate or work. The second goal concerns the guidance of a group of persons integrating under the new law with the final goal of successfully completing the integration. You give residents ownership of their course and coach them in using their own strengths.
Work
As an integration counselor, you conduct (broad) intakes and determine the follow-up trajectory together with the resident. This route is laid down in a PIP. You coach the resident to use his/her own strengths and network. You follow the progress, offer route guidance and make adjustments where necessary.
You record your findings in the client tracking system and related reports.

You have recent work experience as an integration consultant within a municipality. You have an HBO working and thinking level. You are familiar with the relevant laws and regulations of both the old Integration Act and the current ones. Your analytical skills enable you to ask the right questions and to quickly get to the heart of the matter. In addition, you quickly identify connections between the various problems and know how to make the right assessment for each situation. You work independently, but are also emphatically focused on connecting. You are careful, empathic and clear. You have knowledge of social developments and trends and know how to integrate this into your work. You know our system suite4gws through and through. You are result-oriented and think from an organizational perspective.

- You will work closely internally and externally with colleagues such as employment experts, the work and participation coaches and job coaches. But also other teams within the social domain, think of Youth and WMO.
- You have a directing function towards our chain partners SWB (Human Development Company) and Werkplein Twente. If they do not (yet) offer the right answer, you are responsible for activating residents towards participation or care. You draw up a customized route plan, monitor it and record the results.
- Liaise with chain partners on training, development, activation and guidance.
