Our Team
You will work within the Environmental Policy Team, where another 20-25 enthusiastic colleagues work on Twenterand's ambitions and plans. The employees of Team OB are broadly oriented and work integrally, also across team boundaries. Working at Twenterand stands for task-oriented work and integrated thinking in a flat organization where we believe it is important to help others and achieve good results together. There is a pleasant working atmosphere in which cooperation is strengthened by keeping each other sharp, challenging and inspiring. Our professionals are in close contact with the administration, residents, entrepreneurs and institutions, cooperation partners and of course with our own organization, the lines are short. The employees from this team work closely with the teams within the spatial domain, but also the social domain. Together we deliver quality in the physical environment and have a connecting, inspiring and visualizing role.
What will you do?
As policy advisor Mobility & Traffic you develop policy in the field of mobility, traffic, transport, and civil engineering. You will contribute to the implementation of the climate agreement and making traffic and transportation more sustainable. You do this future-oriented; we want to work on the Mobility Vision, for example. In it you will make clear what and which new forms of traffic and mobility in the public space mean for our municipality and translate this into a mobility plan with an implementation agenda. You take care of correct prioritization and financial resources. Your work is multifaceted. You can respond quickly and adequately to current and often new policy questions and can make connections between policy and technical aspects of the various fields, you also give advice in projects. Your role therefore requires both substantive expertise in the field of mobility and the ability to think and act beyond policy. In addition, you are able to advise on the accessibility of Twenterand on a local and regional level. This can be on a project basis but also on a strategic level. In short, a versatile job!

- You have several years of work experience in a similar position.
- You have analytical skills, take direction, are goal- result- and solution-oriented in a creative way.
- You can work well on projects.
- You can communicate clearly and understandably, argue and have persuasive skills.
- You are independent but also enjoy working well with colleagues as well as external organizations and stakeholders.
- You have good written and oral advisory skills to your colleagues and can deal well with political-administrative desires and decision making
Requirements:
- The candidate has a college degree.
- The candidate will have at least 3 years of work experience in one or more of the fields; traffic, civil engineering or green and cultural engineering.
- The candidate has a WO education.
- The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a policy officer/consultant.
- The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in project-based work.
- The candidate uploads a cover letter.
