Role description and task arrangements

Hello Business Analyst (senior)! Do you want to work in the heart of energy transition?

NOTE: POSTING ONLY!

Interview date to follow, possibly July 1 week otherwise the following week.

Energy Market | 32-40 hours | Amersfoort / Hybrid | v/m/x | IT

At ESDN you build a central IT landscape for the entire energy market. Together with our partners. With your solutions to complex problems we take a big step forward in building future-proof and reliable systems. We have big ambitions and therefore we are looking for you!

Work full of energy

With our ART, we ensure that we can provide a uniform and reliable picture of the energy exchange that has flowed through the networks of the Netherlands. This data is needed to facilitate central, decentralized and market-wide processes. To provide these services, we use various applications. More and more of these applications we create ourselves with our own BizDevOps teams. As a Business Analyst within the BizDevOps team, you are the link between business, data and the engineers. You work independently, proactively and have a broad scope. Your tasks consist of querying, analyzing and capturing business needs and then refining them with the team into a solution that meets the need. For solutions that are needed in the longer term, you will actively collaborate with our Product Manager and System Architect. Together with them you build on their own framework of concepts and frameworks that give teams just enough direction to operate as independently as possible but in conjunction with other components. (System of Streams) Using the SAFe methodology, we ensure that we remain agile and can respond quickly to market developments. As a Business Analyst, you will (also) become part of our Business Analyst Community of Practice. In this peer group you will work with colleagues on relevant themes to professionalize the domain of business analysis.

This is what you will do

- You will work with the Subject Matter Expert to work out the business and information needs of stakeholders. These are realized with Epics, Features and User Stories.

- Together with the team, you lay down these requirements in language that is understandable for the business, in a way that it is testable for the development team. For this we use Behaviour Driven Development in combination with Specification by Example.

- You take the lead in cutting up work and describing and refining it into Features and User Stories. Collaboration with the entire team is key in this process.

- You actively work to maintain the Model of concepts for the domain. When necessary, you work with other information holders to sharpen and/or introduce concepts.

- You work proactively to maintain the process model for the domain. If necessary, you will work with other process experts to tighten and/or introduce processes, process steps or business functions

- You proactively retrieve knowledge and information about (future) legislation and are able to explain this to the team in an understandable way.

- You proactively, together with the Product Manger and System Architect, think out new concepts and are able to communicate this to multiple teams

- You actively work with other sector-wide working groups (NBility) on further detailing and/or refining concepts and information

- As part of the Business Analyst Community of Practice, you will work with peers to professionalize business analysis within EDSN

This will energize you

It energizes you to be a driving force to translate ambitious ideas into concrete goals. The freedom, ownership and trust you get in this suits you perfectly. You know what it's like to include all stakeholders and highlight various perspectives and ensure that their strategy and business needs can be effectively realized by our teams. Your approach is considered and effective. You base your knowledge on facts and substantiate your ideas with them. You like details. With your expertise you know how to convey your vision to others and bring them along with you. You have broad knowledge of both business and ICT and know where the two touch and strengthen each other.
