A communications consultant who thinks along with me and gets involved!

Help build the future of the Dutch energy market

Are you a communications consultant who thrives on taking action? Someone who brings structure to complex issues, effortlessly manages multiple projects at once, and enjoys seeing communications initiatives through from start to finish?

If so, we have a great opportunity for you at the Program Management Organization (pRO).

About our partnership

The pRO is a network organization within the energy sector, where we collaborate on issues arising from the energy transition. We ensure that processes, systems, and agreements between grid operators are well-aligned and continue to function effectively in a rapidly changing world.

As a communications advisor, you’ll work both for the pRO organization itself and for the six strategies within the Customer & Market domain. This means you’ll be at the heart of complex and often evolving issues, and that’s exactly where you’ll make a difference by translating them into clear, concrete communications.

Your Assignment as a mid-level communications consultant

At pRO, you’ll work on a wide variety of projects in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. No two days are the same: what’s clear today may be different tomorrow, and that’s exactly where you shine.

You are the one who translates communication challenges into concrete actions and ensures that they are carried out.

Consider:

  • Developing communication plans;
  • Setting up and implementing project communication;
  • Creating and coordinating content (text, images, media mix);
  • Planning and execution of events;
  • Using photography and visual aids (such as infographics, videos, and presentations);
  • Managing and setting up SharePoint (or quickly getting the hang of it).

Who are you?

You are an experienced communications advisor who tackles everything head-on. You contribute strategic insights, but you don’t get lost in endless planning, and you ensure flawless execution. You are pragmatic and understand what it’s like to work in a complex and bureaucratic environment. You thrive in an environment where not everything is set in stone. In fact, you actually enjoy bringing structure to complex or still-vague issues.

Other things that define you:

  • You have completed a relevant degree program at the higher professional education (HBO) level or higher
  • You have at least 4 years of work experience as a mid-level communications advisor or specialist.
  • You enjoy working on projects, and planning comes naturally to you;
  • You are organized, keep track of everything that's going on, and can be flexible when plans change;
  • You can handle multiple topics at once and still keep track of everything;
  • You’re a hands-on person: you don’t just sit back and wait, but get right to work and enjoy coming up with your own ideas;
  • You quickly get the hang of your subject matter and interact easily with colleagues and stakeholders;
  • You're sociable, make friends easily, and bring energy to the table;
  • You have proven experience in events and content creation;
  • You're comfortable using Canva (or similar tools);
  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus (or you'll pick it up quickly);
  • Experience in the energy sector is a plus, but your curiosity and ability to learn quickly are just as important.

What do we offer you?

  • A position for 32 hours per week through August 1, 2027;
  • A hybrid work environment: partly from home, at least 2 days at the office in Amersfoort;
  • A dynamic environment at the heart of the energy transition;
  • Plenty of room to take the lead and make an impact;
  • Working with dedicated and friendly colleagues.
