Working on the energy transition at EDSN
At EDSN, you contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. Every day. Together with our partners in the energy sector. With your digital skills and connecting power, you are the indispensable link between technology and energy. So you can help build the reliable and innovative ICT infrastructure needed to facilitate a sustainable market. Today and tomorrow! We have big ambitions and that is why we are looking for you!

Hello Data/Information/Business Analyst!
You will be working with teams "CODE" and "NoCo," two of the teams from the Agile Release Train case handling & service provision market parties (ZSM). Team NoCo started on July 1. Team NoCo (Data Analyst) focuses on the "contractless" process. This is essential for households without an energy contract after moving house. Contractless is the automated process for re-contracting addresses with an energy supplier after a move. This involves hundreds of thousands of cases per year. Team CODE (information/business analyst) is working on a platform that facilitates central support for energy theft. Network operators can use this platform to build files on energy theft. The major network operators have already signed up. In the coming period, we will continue to work on the further development of the platform and new features. This team has been in existence for three years.

This is what you will be doing? Data analyst specifically:
  • You explore information needs, draw up requirements, and develop (visual) reports.
  • You work with data products within the frameworks and processes of AVG and authorization
  • Creating data analyses for dashboards, reports, and data-driven decision-making.

This is what you will be doing? Information/business analyst specifically:
  • You will be responsible for gathering business and information requirements from users. You will analyze the features and develop them into manageable user stories. You will therefore be involved in medium-term and short-term activities for the team.
  • You contribute to keeping the backlog clean.
  • You will work closely with the development team members.
  • As part of an Agile Scrum team, you will contribute to the delivery of user stories and be willing to participate in testing. You will test whether the built functionalities do what they are supposed to do.
  • Where necessary, you discuss possible improvements and solutions for the application with the end users.

Who are you?
An independent colleague with a broad perspective. Your approach is considered and effective. To fully understand the quantity and diversity of the work, you have a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking in the field of business administration/IT.

We consider a high degree of demonstrable independence, professionalism, and an eye for quality to be extremely important.

You take this further:
  • Knowledge specialization on standardization and information models, especially on dimensional data models.
  • At least 3 years of experience with data analysis and report building, including visualization, preferably at least 5 years
  • At least 5 yearsofdemonstrable work experience with SQL
  • Experience with data on a data platform (Snowflake) and unlocking data products for different customer groups
  • Pré: experience with Tableau
  • Knowledge of security measures in data analysis to ensure privacy
  • Experience in drafting business requirements and user stories.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum team
  • Experience with manually testing the service.
  • Pre: experience in the energy sector, preferably with one of the network operators

Competencies that are valuable for our successful Analyst:
Decisiveness
Persuasion
Curious
Driven and ambitious
Communicative
Organization sensitive

We work twice a week at the office (Tuesday & Friday) in Amersfoort and we use Slack and/or Teams for video communication, so we can work together from home during the day. You will be provided with a Windows laptop to work on. Flexible workspaces are click & work, and hot coffee and complimentary cold soft drinks are waiting for you.

For this organization, it is important that you can communicate in Dutch at a professional level.
