Working on the energy transition at EDSN

At EDSN, you contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. Every day. Together with our partners in the energy sector. With your digital skills and connecting power, you are the indispensable link between technology and energy. In this way, you help build the reliable and innovative ICT infrastructure that is necessary for sustainable market facilitation. Today and tomorrow. We have big ambitions, which is why we are looking for you.

Hello Data Information Business Analyst

You will be working 50/50 for team CODE and NoCo, two of the teams from the Agile Release Train case handling and service provision market parties ZSM.

Team NoCo was launched on July 1. Team NoCo Data Analyst focuses on the contractless process. This is essential for households without an energy contract after moving house. Contractless is the automated process of re-contracting addresses with an energy supplier after a move. This involves hundreds of thousands of cases per year.

Team CODE information business analyst is working on a platform that facilitates central support for energy theft. Network operators can use this platform to build up files on energy theft. The major network operators have already signed up. In the coming period, we will continue to work on the further development of the platform and new features. This team has been in existence for three years.

This is what you will be doing Data Analyst specifically for the NoCo team

• You explore information needs, draw up requirements, and develop visual reports. For example, you deliver a KPI dashboard that aligns with the business objectives of the product being developed
• You work with data products within the frameworks and processes of GDPR and authorization
• You will work within a guild of multiple data analysts working on different products within EDSN
• You will perform data analyses for dashboard reports and data-driven decision-making
• You will be part of a multi-skilled product development team and provide the team with insights from data
• You measure the effects of launched features
• You provide feedback on developed features so that they can be further developed
• You help the business with data insights in prioritizing and developing new features
• You work on the EDSN data platform with the tools made available from the data domain

This is what you will be doing Information Business Analyst specific

• You gather business and information requirements from users, analyze features, and develop them into manageable user stories
• You are involved in medium- and short-term activities for the team
• You contribute to keeping the backlog clean
• You work closely with the development team members
• As part of an Agile Scrum team, you contribute to the delivery of user stories and are willing to participate in testing. You check whether the functionality does what it is supposed to do
• Where necessary, you discuss improvements and solutions for the application with end users

A day in the life of a Business Analyst for team CODE

• You log in, greet the team, and see a question from a DevOps engineer about the solution to a user story. There are two options; which one is the best fit? If you know the answer, give it right away; otherwise, check with the PO and/or stakeholders.
• You prepare a deep dive in which a process step is worked out in detail, including requirements from various customers.
• After the stand-up, you work out the deep dive from the previous session, take minutes, and translate requirements into one or more user stories for the backlog.
• After lunch, you test new functionality delivered by a DevOps engineer and check whether it meets the acceptance criteria and whether the solution delivers value for end users
• In between, the PO asks you to contribute ideas for a user story
• At the end of the day, you explain a previously written user story to a DevOps engineer. After all, collaboration is the key to success.
