As a Senior Data Engineer at EDSN, you will have a broad range of duties. You are responsible for designing data pipelines and modeling data. In addition, you perform complex analyses. The impact of your performed data analyses can be large.
This is what you will do
Developing data products
Together with our colleagues, you will facilitate the development of a standardized and digitized data ecosystem. You will work in our new value stream Data & Analytics where we work on the development of these data products. Think of insights and visualizations of consumption, energy allocation, and congestion. The customers for data products are diverse: we facilitate market processes of network operators, handle customized data requests for market parties, and make data available on public portals. We develop more and more complex data products; always working within the framework of the AVG. Value, compliance and efficiency are paramount.

You are a Senior Data Engineer capable of performing complex data operations. You are strong in data engineering, problem analysis and have attention to detail. You have a preference to standardize and automate as much as possible. You work accurately and can work independently but also as part of a team.

As a Senior Data Engineer at EDSN, you will have a broad range of duties. You are responsible for designing data pipelines and modeling data. In addition, you perform complex analyses. The impact of your performed data analyses can be large.
This is what you will do
- You work on the realization of a modern data analysis platform, on which -for various purposes- data products are realized. You develop and manage, among other things, data pipelines and data lakes
- To do this, you design and implement data models and ETL logic to ensure data is loaded correctly and quickly and is easy to use for analysis purposes
- You ensure a solid IT foundation so that data products can be realized efficiently and effectively

- Completed relevant college or university education
- > 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a Data Engineer
- Pre: experience in the energy sector preferably with one of the grid operators
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of data models, data warehouses and data lakes and strong ETL skills
- Knowledge of relational/dimensional data modeling
- Knowledge of Cloud based BI solutions
- Good analytical ability
- Strong communication skills (you speak and write good Dutch)
- Knowledge of and experience with Gitlab, Snowflake, Tableau, DBT, Python and/or web analytics
