Work on a safe and responsible data flow  
As a developer within the value stream Measurement Data Chain (MDK) you work on the modernization of one or more applications concerning the registration and processing of measurement data.
The Java Developer works as a team member on application development and is responsible for running the application with the Agile team.

What does a Java Developer do at EDSN?
  • You will develop in Java new valuable, customer-centric, secure software in close collaboration with business team members;
  • You manage services in an efficient and customer-oriented manner;
  • You document, test and ensure acceptance of the solutions you build;
  • Together with the team, you are constantly looking to improve processes, methods, technology, services, etc;
  • You follow relevant new developments in the field and with the team exploit opportunities that arise such as (test) automation, CI/CD etc.

To fully understand the amount and diversity of the work, you have an HBO working and thinking level. In addition, you have knowledge of CI/CD, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes (Openshift), PostgreSQL and Kafka. Knowledge of public cloud environments is a plus.
You have a minimum of three years of work experience in an Agile team where you held the role of developer. In addition, you are proactive, service-oriented, customer-focused and with integrity.


Competencies that are valuable to our successful Java Developer:
  • Analytical ability to understand problems and proactively provide solutions;
  • Team player who works well in multidisciplinary teams;
  • Flexibility to quickly switch between different priorities.
