Work full of energy
We are working with several teams on the migration and modernization of portal C-AR - the basis for many activities within the energy sector. Within this PI, an additional team "Quatro" is being set up, which will be productive from PI1 on behalf of the CAR out program. Internally we are shifting people around, so we are looking for reinforcements for several teams:
As a medior Kotlin developer, you will work on applications that form the backbone of the Dutch energy market. You will develop microservices and backend components that enable data exchange between grid operators and market parties. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with DevOps engineers, testers and business analysts. The challenge lies in building scalable and secure solutions in a complex chain, where you continuously think about improvements and innovations.
- Develop and maintain Kotlin-based backend applications
- Work with modern tools such as Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker and AWS
- Collaborate on architecture and technical solutions
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams
- Write unit and integration tests
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation
You will work closely with colleagues within EDSN and external partners. Knowledge sharing is key: you actively participate in refinement sessions, code reviews and communities of practice.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a backend developer
- Experience with Kotlin (or Java with strong willingness to transition)
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka and CI/CD
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum working methods
- Proactive attitude and good communication skills
- Experience working in complex chains is a plus
- Pre: knowledge of SOAP and integration with legacy systems
