32–40 hours | Amersfoort / Hybrid | Energy market | Start date as soon as possible | Assignment duration until October 2026 | Self-employed/Deta

Offers can be submitted until Wednesday, March 11, at 9:00 a.m. | Interview date: Monday, March 16, or Tuesday, March 17, in the afternoon (not March 18)

EDSN is a rapidly growing organization. At EDSN, you contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. Every day. Together with our partners in the energy sector. With your knowledge of financial reliability, control, and reporting, you will provide strong insight into EDSN's financial performance and create a solid foundation for further growth and professionalization. In doing so, you will contribute to a sustainable and future-proof energy market. We have big ambitions, which is why we are looking for you!

Work at the intersection of financial control, professionalization, and energy transition

In this role, you will ensure that EDSN's financial processes, reporting, and controls run smoothly in an organization that is constantly changing. The challenge? Providing reliable financial information in an environment that is transitioning from startup to scale-up. This means building, improving, structuring, and simultaneously participating in operations.

You play a key role in strengthening internal control and improving reporting. You work in a dynamic, data-driven environment where professionalization never stands still.

This is what you will do

As Financial Controller, you are responsible for the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of internal and external financial reports (in accordance with laws and regulations). Where relevant, you provide reports with analyses and findings. You ensure a clear framework, policy, and processes within Finance & Control. You will report to the Lead Corporate Control & SSC Finance.

Objective:
For this interim assignment, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who can provide temporary support in strengthening financial reports, internal control, and treasury processes. The focus is on professionalization, structure, and delivering improved financial information provision within a dynamic scale-up environment.

Your main tasks:

  • Preparing interim and year-end audits with the external auditor
  • Preparing periodic financial reports, including numerical analyses
  • Identifying deviations and reporting them
  • Processing and consolidating budgets
  • Actively contributing to improving the provision of financial information
  • Supporting management and Business Control in budget monitoring
  • Maintaining and monitoring the financing model
  • Preparing withdrawals, repayments, and final settlements
  • Preparation of financing documentation
  • Preparing liquidity forecasts
  • Optimizing financial processes
  • Strengthening internal control

Collaboration and knowledge sharing

You will work closely with Business Control and other Business Support departments. You interact easily with various stakeholders and know how to convey financial information clearly and comprehensively. You enjoy helping to build an organization where processes and structures are constantly evolving.

This is what energizes you

  • You get energy from improving, structuring, and professionalizing financial processes.
  • You enjoy creating overviews and providing direction based on figures.
  • You are interested in the dynamics of the energy market and a rapidly growing organization.
  • You are enthusiastic about collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines.
  • You enjoy using your analyses to influence strategic decisions.

You take this further

  • HBO/WO working and thinking level, preferably with a background in business economics
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Controller
  • Experience in compiling annual accounts and financial reports
  • Experience with Exact and Power BI (preferred)
