Strengthen financial control and risk management within a virtual energy organization!
Do you want to make a difference in a sector facing major strategic choices? The Program Direction Organization (pRO) is looking for a Lead Finance & Risk to give direction to the finance & control, risk management, BI and audit function within the Customer & Market domain. You ensure that the pRO and Customer and Market domain operate in a demonstrably financially healthy, transparent and compliant operations within the joint ecosystem of network operators. You will contribute to the financial management, performance and value creation within the Customer & Market domain (budget approximately € 130m).
About our partnership
Since 2020, pRO has been a virtual network organization in which the eight Dutch grid operators work together on digitization, standardization and sector renewal within the Customer & Market domain. As a strategic collaboration platform, pRO supports the energy transition by shaping and implementing market processes around energy data. Within this hybrid partnership, you will work to strengthen the financial management and control of pRO and the Customer & Market domain.
Your role as lead Finance & Risk
As Lead Finance & Risk, you are a member of the Management Team and provide functional leadership to the staff of Finance & Control (financial control and business control), Risk, BI and Audit. You are the financial conscience of the organization and report directly to the Director pRO. You work closely with the other MT members and coordinate with Managers Finance & Control of the network operators, EDSN and relevantstakeholders.

Your assignment
You are responsible for:
- Directed the Business Planning process for the Customer & Market domain.
- Develop and monitor financial policies, budget and reports.
- Directing relevant business cases for the Customer & Market domain.
- Contribution to performance, value creation and financial control.
- Develop and maintain the integrated risk management and compliance framework.
- Establishment and review of AO/IC processes.
- Hierarchical management of the Finance, Risk, BI, and Audit teams.
- Sectoral coordination with grid operators and regulators.
- Reporting to management on financial performance, risk and compliance.
Solid, principled financial leader with strategic insight and the ability to foster ownership and collaboration in a complex, hybrid context.
You possess:
- WO level (business economics, accounting, business controlling, risk management or similar).
- Minimum 10 years of experience within finance, risk and audit.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an interim professional in similar roles.
- Experience working in a Safe-Agile environment.
- Knowledge of AO/IC and internal control
- Pre: Experience with hybrid partnerships and financial reporting within industry contexts.
- Experience with business cases, value creation and performance measurement.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and understandably to decision makers.
