Role description and task arrangements

Hello, Interim Program Manager! Would you like to work at the heart of the energy transition?
32–40 hours | Amersfoort / Hybrid | Energy market | Start date ASAP | Assignment duration: at least 1 year
EDSN is a rapidly growing organization. At EDSN, you contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. Every day. Together with our partners in the energy sector. With your knowledge and experience in IT delivery, program management, and the specific characteristics of the energy sector, you create a successful approach, build support, and ensure successful implementation. Working closely with the core team—comprising the Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, Solution Architect, People Developer, and IT Foundation Lead—you will ensure transparent and timely delivery. In doing so, you will contribute to sustainable market facilitation. We have big ambitions, which is why we’re looking for you!

Work at the intersection of IT and business
Work with energy
Goal: Establish a clear link between the strategic goals of Network Operators, market parties, and EDSN and the challenge of modernizing imbalance settlement processes. Key challenges include balancing 1) understanding, challenging, and implementing technical solutions, 2) developing a transparent action plan and assessing the impact on business process alignment, and 3) guiding and challenging the core implementation team within EDSN in close consultation with the Theme Lead from the Network Operators. The desired outcome is a successful modernization of the sector-critical imbalance settlement process, enabling the supply chain to transition step by step from legacy solutions to new functionalities.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
  • Work with the EDSN and RNB core team to develop a solid action plan
  • Facilitating the implementation of new functionality within the sector’s critical imbalance settlement process landscape
  • Ensure that deliveries are made at the required milestones
  • Ensure sufficient coordination with user groups to adjust delivery as needed

Collaborating and sharing knowledge
This is what energizes you
You get energized by working together to develop a plan and taking joint ownership of deliverables. You’re not afraid to delve into and challenge IT solution design ideas based on your own experiences. Active stakeholder management is truly one of your strengths. You thrive on taking responsibility and truly owning the plan and the solution. And you don’t mind facilitating the core team—which operates under SAFe Agile—to bring this realization to fruition. This is necessary because we collaborate within a production chain on behalf of various network operators, also for the benefit of other market parties.

Please keep this in mind
  • Ability to evaluate IT solution designs and contribute technical insights or challenge them (required)
  • At least 5 years of program management experience in at least 2–3 complex IT development projects (required)
  • Experience in stakeholder management at both the strategic and operational levels (required)
  • Experience in the energy sector (preferred)
  • A drive to understand and challenge business processes (preferred)
