About our partnership and your assignment
The pRO is a virtual partnership of regional network operators and is based in Amersfoort. From here, it oversees all products, services, and processes related to the customer and market facilitation processes of the joint network operators. Within the strategic theme of Facilitating Optimal Market Functioning , the joint network operators collaborate to utilize the electricity grid as effectively as possible and keep the energy transition manageable. As an Epic Owner, you play a crucial role in this transition and are responsible for driving change, improvement, and innovation in processes, (IT) systems, and products, with the goal of creating a reliable, uniform, and future-proof energy market based on accurate measurement data.

Your assignment as senior Epic Owner
In this role, you will serve as an Epic Owner within EDSN’s pRO (Project Management Organization).
You are responsible for driving change, improvement, and innovation in processes, (IT) systems, and products, with the goal of creating a reliable, uniform, and future-proof energy market.ba
You will take ownership of assigned epics, monitor their progress, and ensure they are successfully completed. You will serve as the link between stakeholders and ensure seamless coordination between the network operators and the industry-wide initiatives we are implementing.
Your role is broad and challenging: the core of your responsibilities involves facilitating and leading the entire epic process, from initiation to deployment. You are responsible for developing high-quality epics that align seamlessly with our strategic goals, guiding these epics through the prioritization process, and successfully implementing the associated business improvements according to the agreed-upon deadlines.
In addition, you will serve as a key liaison with your stakeholders and ensure seamless coordination between the network operators and the key initiatives being implemented at the sector level.
You will report functionally to the theme owner and be part of one of the two theme teams: the Efficient Market Settlement theme team, the Accurate Measurement Data as a Source theme team, or the Flexible and Robust Registers theme team

You are a professional who effortlessly navigates between different interests, levels, and disciplines. With your strong communication skills, you engage stakeholders in your vision and approach. You have a keen eye for results and continue to perform effectively under time pressure. You always think in terms of customer and supply chain needs and translate these into concrete actions. Stakeholder management is in your DNA: you know exactly how to build support and manage expectations.

You possess:
  • A completed associate's or bachelor's degree, along with the academic and intellectual level expected of a college graduate
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience as an Epic Owner, project manager, or in a similar role within a complex IT organization.
  • Strong affinity for or proven experience in the energy sector (required).
  • Strategic insight and a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
  • A solution-oriented mindset and you are able to translate vision into execution.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience with SAFe, Leading SAFe, or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (certification is a plus). Experience with Jira Align is preferred.
