At EDSN, Data & Analytics forms the foundation of the energy transition. As a Senior System Architect Data & Analytics, you’ll play a key role in steering, connecting, and securing our data architecture across teams, value streams, and supply chain partners.
You’re not the architect who designs everything yourself, but the one who ensures the right choices are made, understood, and consistently implemented.

A role full of leadership, data, and impact
In this role, you have final responsibility for the architectural coherence of Data & Analytics within a value stream. You operate at the intersection of data platforms, data architecture, analytics solutions, and organization-wide alignment.
Within EDSN, multiple teams work on data platforms, data warehouses, analytics solutions, and data services used throughout the energy sector. You oversee the bigger picture, prevent fragmentation, and ensure that teams remain agile within clear frameworks.
You will operate explicitly as an architecture director: providing direction, maintaining an overview, and organizing decision-making, with deep knowledge of data as your substantive foundation.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

• You will define and oversee the Data & Analytics architecture at the value stream level, in conjunction with enterprise and platform architecture.
• You translate strategic data objectives into a clear vision for data and analytics architecture, including frameworks, principles, and decisions.
• You will ensure consistency across data platforms, data warehouses, data models, data flows, and analytics solutions.
• You will develop and monitor the architectural roadmap (3–12 months) for data and analytics and facilitate timely decision-making regarding dependencies and enablers.
• You will serve as the coordinating hub between data teams, platform teams, Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Release Train Engineering.
• You ensure stakeholder alignment: the right people at the table, decisions made at the right time, and clear accountability.
• You monitor risks related to data quality, scalability, performance, reusability, and governance, and escalate issues as needed.
• You support teams in fulfilling their mandate by providing clear architectural frameworks, without taking over their responsibilities.

• positioning data platforms and data warehouses within a broader architecture;
• data modeling and data contracts as the foundation for reusable data services;
• event- and data-driven architectures in a supply chain context;
• balance between accelerating development for teams and architectural consistency.

• Extensive experience (10+ years) as a Senior System Architect, Data Architect, or Analytics Architect in data-intensive environments.
• Strong technical foundation in data and analytics architecture, including data platforms, data warehouses, data modeling, and data flows.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions, preferably AWS (e.g., data lakes, data pipelines, analytics platforms).
• Experience applying data architecture principles and methodologies (such as reusable data services, governance by design, and platform thinking).
• Knowledge of and experience with SAFe and Agile methodologies, as well as a clear understanding of the division of roles among teams, architecture, and project/change management.
• Strong coordination and communication skills: you facilitate decision-making, maintain an overview, and reconcile competing interests.
• A results-oriented approach, with a focus on quality, risks, and the future-proofing of data solutions.
• Experience in the energy sector, preferably with at least one of the network operators (preferred)
• Experience with Java/Kotlin (preferred)
• Experience as a technical project manager in complex environments.
