At EDSN (C-AR ALM - Team Pact) you will be working as a Tester. There are (in our Agile Release Train) three teams working on the migration and modernization of the C-AR (Central Connections Registry). The existing functionalities of the legacy C-AR, a SOAP-based application, are being modernized and migrated to a microservices architecture (REST/Kafka). This trajectory has a hard deadline in 2026. This is a trajectory that takes place entirely in the back-end and therefore contains no front-end work. The back-end is built entirely in java.What we are looking for.
We are looking for a communication-savvy person with thick skin, who can take a beating and is able to overcome many obstacles. You are someone who quickly acquires new knowledge, skills and works closely with developers. You have a high sense of responsibility and bring a positive mindset. This role is not suitable for people who give up quickly. We are looking for someone who has experience in similar situations and is not daunted by changing demands and challenging circumstances. - As part of the scrum team, you will be engaged in developing, setting up and maintaining test automation, chain/integration testing and test data management
- During refinement, reviews the test basis and specifications, data model, processes involved and security aspects
- Creation of test scenarios
- Executes test scripts in the agreed upon manner. Records the results of the test scripts performed
- Is responsible for the development and maintenance of knowledge in the field of testing and of test designs and methods in this field
- Thinks about approaches to test analysis and test execution
- Active role in integrating testing into the CI/CD pipeline
- Possesses enough seniority to share knowledge with other team members and take them to the next level
- Supports and advises on the design of the testing strategy
Knowledge and skills
- Minimum HBO working and thinking level direction: IT supplemented with relevant certificates
- Experience with and knowledge of the following technologies: Java (Reading production code and independently developing test code), SOAP & REST, Kafka. Working in a container environment
- 5 years of testing experience in a complex environment
- Experience independently building tests in java
- 2 years of experience integrating CI/CD pipeline & test automation
- 3 years knowledge of advanced testing methods and techniques, e.g. TMAP/ ISTQB and Agile Tester
- 1 year of experience with BDD/TDD
- Pre: Experience with Serenity / Cucumber
- Pre: Knowledge of energy market processes.
- Pre: Experience performance testing
