Help build the future of the Dutch energy market
Would you like to lead a strategic initiative that has a direct impact on the continuity and reliability of the Dutch energy supply? The Program Management Organization (pRO) is seeking a Resilience Theme Owner who will work with vision and decisiveness to strengthen sector-wide resilience and deliver results.
About our partnership
The eight regional network operators are working closely together within the Customer & Market domain to achieve a sustainable and future-proof energy supply. pRO is a virtual network organization established by and for the grid operators. We facilitate the joint management of customer and market processes within the Customer & Market domain. This includes products and services that are crucial to the energy transition: from digital customer processes to flexible market facilitation.
Within this partnership, we are working on strategic themes that contribute to a future-proof energy system. The Resilience theme focuses on strengthening the robustness, continuity, and crisis resilience of processes, systems, and collaboration within the sector.
Your Role as Resilience Theme Owner
As Theme Owner, you are ultimately responsible for the strategic development and, more importantly, for the implementation of the Resilience theme. You bridge the gap between strategy and execution and ensure that sector-wide objectives are actually achieved.
You operate at the intersection of strategy, business, and IT, serving as the link between the strategy owner, the network operators, EDSN, and other stakeholders, and you work closely with SMEs.
Within the established framework, you have the authority to make decisions, set priorities, and guide the implementation of the initiative.
Your responsibilities
· Translating strategic objectives into specific thematic goals
· Developing and implementing a theme roadmap with epics and priorities
· Forming and leading a thematic team
· Prioritizing and focusing on the epic backlog and value creation
· Initiating and overseeing business cases
· Reporting on progress during strategic meetings
· Connecting stakeholders and strengthening sector-wide collaboration
· Serve as the business point of contact for relevant issues related to service delivery and changes
Who are you? You’re a strategically strong, results-oriented professional who knows how to translate complex issues into concrete results. You’re comfortable navigating a political environment with many stakeholders and diverse interests.
Knowledge and experience
· A completed higher professional education (HBO) degree and a university (WO) level of work and thinking
· 5–10 years of relevant experience in strategy, program management, or a specific subject area
· Experience in addressing complex, cross-sectoral issues
· Demonstrable experience with stakeholder management and collaborating within networks
· Knowledge of the topic of resilience (e.g., business continuity, security, crisis management) is a strong plus;
· Experience with SAFe or agile methodologies is a strong plus
· Experience with Jira is a plus
· Experience in the energy sector, preferably with grid operators, is a plus
Competencies:
· Willingness to collaborate (important!)
· Results-oriented and steadfast
· Analytical and solution-oriented
· Skilled at building connections and influencing others
· Organizationally savvy and a strong communicator
· Able to organize and maintain an overview
What do we offer you?
· A strategic role with a direct impact on the resilience of the energy sector
· Working as part of a unique industry-wide collaboration
· Plenty of room to explore an important theme
· A hybrid work environment with dedicated professionals
· Start: as soon as possible
