GOPACS, a unique partnership of all Dutch grid operators and is the strategic platform to reduce capacity shortages in the electricity grid (congestion) and contributes to keeping the Dutch electricity grid reliable and affordable. The GOPACS platform enables grid operators to resolve congestion by purchasing flexibility through connected energy trading platforms while providing large and small market participants with an easy way to generate revenue from their available flexibility.

This is what you will do

  • You are responsible for drawing up and communicating the UX roadmap within the ART Congestion Management team.
  • And to put that into concrete terms, this also means: 
    • Preparing recommendations based on the above, presenting the results to management, communication, product group (PM+ PO's)
    • Processing recommendations into epics and features in consultation with PM and PO.
    • Contacts: communication, management, PM, POs
    • In case of priority choices, capacity issues, or impediments: PM/RTE
  • Identify and analyze user needs and expectations through user research.
  • You will create wireframes, mock-ups, user flows and prototypes to test ideas.
  • Develop intuitive and attractive user interfaces that meet stakeholder requirements.
  • You will conduct user testing and collect feedback to optimize designs.
  • You proactively engage stakeholders, presenting new ideas to enthuse them and keeping them well informed.
  • Collaborate with software developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Maintain design guidelines and promote a consistent user experience within GOPACS

As UX/UI Lead, you are responsible for drawing up and implementing the UX Roadmap within ART Congestion Management. You are also responsible for creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. You get energy from getting to know your users better. You do this by conducting in-depth user research to identify (latent) needs. You are able to translate your findings into concrete solutions. You work closely with Product Owners and Front-end developers to bring your ideas and interfaces to life within the existing possibilities. You have excellent communication skills and are able to substantiate your design choices.

This further takes you

  • Experience in drawing up and communicating the UX Roadmap
  • Proven experience as a UI Designer, preferably with a focus on online portals and complex online B2B applications. 
  • Demonstrated experience in user research.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Figma. 
  • Demonstrated experience setting up Design Systems
  • At least 5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer 
  • Demonstrated experience with wireframing and prototyping 
  • You enjoy working together in a team and quickly understand what is expected of you.
  • A critical and analytical eye makes you come to new insights, which you can translate into concrete solutions and improvements.
  • Knowledge of WCAG guidelines is an advantage
  • Experience with SAFe is a plus
  • Experience with design tokens is a plus
