Consultant for Green Spaces, Nature, and Landscape Development

What do we expect from you?
In the municipality of Aa en Hunze, green spaces, nature, and the landscape are an important part of public spaces. In your role, you will be responsible for policy matters related to these areas.

You will engage internal and external stakeholders and devise creative solutions. You will provide advice on the green and blue infrastructure of urban and rural areas, thereby contributing to the preservation and enhancement of our municipality’s green character and its scenic and natural qualities.

You will assess and provide recommendations regarding the impacts on the landscape, cultural history, geomorphology, and nature resulting from land-use plans and other projects that may affect these areas in environmental permit applications.

You will work on a regional basis to bring landscape visions to life. You will do this in collaboration with various stakeholders, such as municipalities, provinces, water boards, and nature organizations. Your goal is to contribute to a sustainable future by protecting and enhancing green spaces, nature, biodiversity, water, and the landscape. You will maintain close contact with those responsible for implementation and will be able to translate their insights into policy decisions and recommendations.

 

Who are we looking for?
Someone with a degree at the higher vocational education (HBO) level or higher, for example in the field of landscape architecture.

• At least three to five years of relevant experience;
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a network within the field.
• Demonstrable work experience with a focus on sustainability in various designs and projects.
• Experience with a political (municipal) organization.
