Hiring a Green Advisor 
PLEASE NOTE: SECONDMENT ONLY
Municipality of Aa en Hunze / As soon as possible until July 1, 2026 / 24 to 36 hours per week

We are looking for a Green Advisor, with a specific focus on resident initiatives.

Required competencies

• HBO working and thinking level;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in green space management and biodiversity in a municipal environment;
• Working independently and taking a proactive approach to business matters;
• Quickly create an overview and set priorities;
• Enthusiasm for working with residents and supporting them;
• Good communication skills;
• Easily switch between policy, implementation, and communication.

Work

• Inventory and overview of resident initiatives
• Contact and support for residents' initiatives
• Contact person for Landscape Management Drenthe for Regional Management
• Implementing a code of conduct in collaboration with our field staff
• Implementation agenda Sustainability vision in the field of biodiversity (including input for the content calendar, setting up collaboration with Steenbreek, pilot project Basic Quality Nature in Gieterveen)
• Handling of reports concerning public spaces
• Advice on municipal green plans
• Advice on climate adaptation projects
• Invasive alien species (questions, reports, and protocols)
• Advice on driveway permits
• Project Roadside Scouts
• Food Forest Project
• Project Barn Owls
• Project Wies with the Patries
