Aa en Hunze is one of the municipalities in North Drenthe that is participating in the Nij Begun initiative. With our social agenda, we are contributing to improving overall prosperity in the region. We are doing this in concrete terms by contributing to the quality of life of our residents. To this end, Nij Begun has introduced three measures to further improve this.

The quality of life in our municipality is already an important responsibility for us as a municipality. Together with residents' initiatives, associations, social organizations, and others, we work every day to create a pleasant and enjoyable living environment.

With measures from Nij Begun, the initiative lies with residents, associations, and social organizations, so it is explicitly up to society and municipalities to facilitate and coordinate these initiatives with an open and positive attitude.

The municipality does this through process coordination in order to arrive at proposals for the allocation of available resources with all relevant parties at the local level.

We are looking for a Process Coordinator who encourages collaboration and coordinates processes to help local initiatives flourish. In this role, you will be the connecting link between the municipality, resident initiatives, associations, and social organizations.

Your role

As Process Coordinator, you ensure a well-organized process in which all relevant parties work together to develop proposals for the allocation of available resources. You work with an open and positive attitude and know how to connect interests. Depending on the measure, you take on a facilitating or steering role:

  • Meeting places:You organize consultations on the distribution of resources and take into account public and private real estate.
  • Neighborhood and village support workers:You safeguard the position of residents and facilitate agreement frameworks.
  • Professionals (community workers, youth workers, neighborhood sports coaches, cultural coaches):You are the client on behalf of the municipality and coordinate with the parties involved.

What do you bring?

  • Experience with process coordination in a municipal or social context.
  • Knowledge of participation processes and local policy implementation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to switch between facilitating and directing roles.
  • Affinity with citizens' initiatives and social cooperation.
