Role description and task arrangements

Work:
The 2021 Integration Act has been in effect since January 1, 2022. Municipalities are responsible for managing the integration process. The municipality of Aa en Hunze is committed to helping its new residents integrate successfully.

As a coordinator, we expect you to coordinate support for our newcomers so they can participate fully in the municipality of Aa en Hunze. In the role of integration coordinator, you are responsible for guiding and coordinating the integration process for your caseload.
Integration is always a personalized process, which is why we want to get to know the newcomer well! You will conduct a comprehensive intake with the newcomers. Together with them, you will set goals to work on during the integration process and map out a customized integration plan.
You will document this in a Personal Integration and Participation Plan (PIP).

This plan serves as a guide and provides a framework for both newcomers and the organizations involved. You ensure that the plan is developed with the newcomer in a timely manner and implemented, resulting in better and faster integration and participation. You monitor progress and make adjustments where necessary. You engage with both newcomers and the parties involved to keep the process on track.

In short, your role is partly executive and partly coordinating. This can be at the case level, but also more overarching when a situation calls for it. The 2021 Integration Act focuses on participation. We believe that work is important for people’s well-being and language development. This vision is therefore also reflected in the personal integration plans.

As a coordinator, you play a key role in steering the necessary change process for all involved (newcomers and stakeholders) in the right direction. You are the linchpin of this process!
You work closely with social partners, employers, and educational institutions. An active approach is expected of you in maintaining regional networks. You take the lead in connecting the various partners. You also address partners when agreements are not met. If this goes beyond the individual case, you do so in collaboration with the policy advisor.

  • Interviews will take place on Monday, April 20, after 2:30 p.m.
