Role description and task arrangements

Will you help further prepare our municipality for the Environment Act?

 

The Environment Act is more than a set of rules; it requires a new way of working and thinking throughout the municipality. As a municipality, we have already made great strides. We are now ready to further tell and translate them to the organization. For example, we will update the environmental vision and work on our instruments such as the environmental plan and the policy cycle. In order not to look at all this through the classic glasses of spatial planning, we are looking for an enthusiastic and decisive director who will help the organization to further shape the new way of working and implement it broadly in the organization. Together we will give a good interpretation of the physical living environment. Now and in the future.

 

In this role, you are the inspiring link between employees, management and administration. You ensure that it is clear to every colleague - from policy officer to council member - who has what role and responsibility as a result of the Environment Act. You create awareness, bring parties together and encourage a new way of working that suits both the law and the municipality of Borger-Odoorn.

 

In addition, you will prepare the current board and management team for the new administrative period. You will ultimately ensure that working with the Environment Act is anchored in the municipality's policy processes in a sustainable way.

 

What will you do for this - among other things?

  • Create awareness and support within the organization for the impact of the Environment Act.
  • Supervise a change centered on integral working and collaboration.
  • Advise MT and board on the Environment Act within the policy cycle and its application in the new administration period.
  • Initiate pilots to properly test and test implementation of the Environment Act.
  • Inspire employees to look at policy and implementation with fresh eyes.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks so that the organization transitions smoothly to a new way of working.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in organizational change and culture change projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a political environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience at the tactical/strategic level
  • HBO/WO working and thinking level.

 

Wishes:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and connect people.
  • Creative and solution-oriented thinker with a positive, energetic attitude.
  • Sensitivity to administrative relationships and municipal decision-making.
  • Experience with change projects and culture change within organizations.
