Role description and task arrangements

Are you passionate about IT, and do you have a knack for information systems and business processes? Do you look beyond the features an application offers and enjoy contributing ideas on how systems can truly add value for users? Then we’re looking for you!

We are looking for a
Functional Application Administrator
32–36 hours per week | Location: Exloo (hybrid work, at least 50% on-site)

What will you be doing?
As a functional application administrator, you will contribute to the management and further development of our case management system (currently Dimpact eSuite). You will ensure that the system aligns optimally with the organization’s work processes and support colleagues in using it effectively.
Your duties include:
  • Setting up, managing, and maintaining the case management system and related applications that support our services;
  • providing support to end users by answering questions and resolving or escalating incidents;
  • testing new releases and features before they go live;
  • managing connections between the case management system and other applications;
  • Setting up e-services and developing forms and templates, in collaboration with colleagues.

What is our vision of the ideal Systems Administrator?
You’re a true linchpin: you’re at home with technology and excel at communicating with users. You easily navigate between different interests and know how to bring people together.
Further:
  • You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thinking, preferably in business administration, information management, or a similar field of study;
  • Do you have an affinity for information management, processes, and digital services?;
  • Are you a team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing knowledge?;
  • We look not only at your subject matter knowledge, but also at your skills and potential for growth.
  • Knowledge of case-based work and experience with the case type catalog and interfaces
  • Knowledge of process modeling (BPMN, CMMN) is a plus

Where will you be working?
We’re looking for people with their own perspective—people who believe in themselves, in their colleagues, and in the power of society. People who dare to take on and delegate responsibility. People who think in terms of possibilities and drive positive change. We are VooruitBewegers.

Borger-Odoorn is a forward-thinking rural municipality with high ambitions. Our approximately 250 employees are dedicated to providing customer-focused services to more than 25,000 residents and business owners every day. The municipality covers a vast area and is centrally located on the Drentse Hondsrug and the adjacent peat colony region. The green surroundings offer plenty of recreational and tourist opportunities. As an employer, we are characterized by an informal work atmosphere, short lines of communication, and the freedom to take initiative. We collaborate regionally with the municipalities of Emmen and Coevorden and are the first municipality in Drenthe to hold the international Cittaslow certification.
