Assignment within the Environmental Development Team
Focus on Spatial Developments Outside the Plan and the Environmental Roundtable
Overseeing procedures + drafting spatial justifications
Collaboration with project initiators, supply chain partners, and internal teams
Within this team, Spatial Planning, Permits, and Oversight & Enforcement work closely together. The team safeguards what is valuable to Coevorden and facilitates new developments. Community initiatives are actively supported with a customer-focused and solution-oriented approach.
The Environment Act is bringing about significant changes and requires additional capacity. Since 2023, Coevorden has been operating in the spirit of the Environment Act through an Environment Roundtable for developments outside the plan. This process is currently being further refined and developed.
The consultant supports the team on spatial planning issues, with a focus on initiatives outside the plan and environmental planning procedures. The role requires process management, substantive expertise, and administrative sensitivity.
Provide advice on spatial development, with a focus on initiatives outside the plan and environmental planning procedures.
Drafting spatial justifications and translating recommendations into decisions for the municipal executive.
Serve as a case manager at the Environmental Roundtable and monitor the process.
Coordinate with project initiators, supply chain partners, and internal teams.
Contribute to the updating of spatial planning policy and environmental plans.
Manage procedural processes and facilitate the communication of interests between the client and the competent authority.
Extensive experience or a demonstrable interest in land-use planning and environmental law.
Relevant education and up-to-date knowledge of spatial planning instruments and the Environment Act.
Experience in overseeing procedures and drafting spatial planning justifications is a plus.
A holistic thinker with administrative acumen and a proactive attitude.
A strong-willed individual who takes responsibility and collaborates effectively with internal and external parties.
Preferably, candidates should bring additional expertise that strengthens the team.
