You will work in the cluster Economy, consisting of 5 colleagues. This cluster is part of the team Economy and Livability where a total of about 40 colleagues work towards a more beautiful, vital and safe municipality. The atmosphere is close and pleasant, cooperation is key.

The challenge you face

The temporary position focuses on two main focuses: account management and policy advisor for the economy. In this versatile combination position, you are the link between entrepreneurs and the municipality. You know what is going on in the local business community and translate this into policy and actions.

Your Account Manager Responsibilities:

- You are the daily point of contact for companies with questions to the municipality and make the connection from external to internal for all entrepreneurs in the municipality of Coevorden.

- You are the point of contact for business associations in the nuclei of the municipality.

- You will coordinate and supervise lot sales at business parks.

Your Responsibilities as a Policy Advisor:

- You will develop a strategic account plan.

- You will develop policies on retail and circular economy.

- You are involved with the Downtown Coevorden and the market committee.

- You provide input on the topic of Logistics from an economic perspective

You are also involved in regional collaborations from the cluster economy, such as IBDO (Ik ben Drents Ondernemer). Together we work on a strong entrepreneurial climate in Drenthe and beyond.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced, open-minded and connecting professional who easily switches between entrepreneurs, colleagues and policy. You know what is going on in the region and can easily switch between interests. With your positive attitude and sense of humor, you know how to connect and create support in a pleasant way.

You bring:

- HBO working and thinking level, preferably (business) economics.

- Preferably at least 3 years work experience in a similar position.

- Experience in policy development.

- Proactive attitude: you actively seek out companies yourself and build relationships.

- Communication skills, results orientation and social sensitivity.

- Independence, but you are definitely not a soloist - working together is something you do extremely well.
