Role description and task arrangements

Hostess / Host weddings

(Flexible deployment | Service Team)

You play an indispensable role on one of the most important days in these people's lives. As a host or hostess, you work with the Special Civil Registrar (BABS) to ensure that the wedding ceremony runs smoothly, warmly, and unforgettably. You work with happy people in a festive setting and contribute to memories that will last a lifetime.

The challenge you face
No two ceremonies are the same. You switch effortlessly between preparation, reception, and support during the ceremony. Weddings mainly take place on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, with peak periods in May, June, and September. Availability and flexibility are therefore most important on these days. The schedule is known well in advance, allowing you to combine this role with other activities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • You check that the wedding venue has been prepared to your satisfaction;
  • You welcome the bride and groom and their guests and ensure a warm reception;
  • You support the BABS during the wedding ceremony;
  • You ensure that the right music is played at the right time;
  • You submit the marriage certificate to the BABS in a timely manner.

Together, you will ensure a relaxed and well-organized ceremony.

What you bring
You are someone who interacts easily with people and finds it important that others feel comfortable. Hospitality is part of your attitude and you have a good sense of situations. You are quick to adapt, remain calm, and know how to keep an overview even in unexpected moments. We are also looking for someone with:
  • A customer-oriented and welcoming attitude;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Creativity, improvisational skills, and an understanding of different family relationships;
  • An open personality and the ability to switch gears quickly;
  • Flexibility and availability on Friday afternoons and Saturdays;
  • Residing in (the vicinity of) Sleen.

Education and work experience are not decisive; we consider life experience to be just as important.
