Task 1

As a strategic financial policy advisor, you are a sparring partner for management, the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees and provide advice on (strategic) financial issues, both solicited and unsolicited. You are the strategic advisor on financing methodologies, municipality-wide financial issues and the translation of national trends and developments

Task 2

You will proactively contribute to and direct the steering and accountability cycle (framework letter, budget, semi-annual report and annual accounts). For the duration of the project You will do this together with the project leader so that there is a "warm handover" at the end of the project. The coordination of the steering & accountability cycle is also currently part of the position. Given the size of the position, it is possible that this task will be assigned to one of the team members.

Task 3

You are the figurehead in the organization for the development of financial policy at the corporate level. To this end, you set/update the frameworks and monitor them. You hold discussions with and advise the group management team, team leaders, group controller, other (strategic) advisors and your immediate colleagues from the Finance cluster. You have insight into the current and future plans of the council and the college, you know what is going on within the administrative organization, you know what changes are coming in the field of laws and regulations; you know how to respond in time so you can act proactively.

 

Task 4

You think along about financial (creative) solutions to arrive at a good college or council proposal while respecting the financial frameworks and laws. You know the story behind the figures and, in your role as advisor, proactively assist the organization in achieving its goals. You know how to connect with the budget holders and your fellow financial advisors, so that together a sound / adequate / current financial course is propagated and secured.
