Senior Integral debt relief worker 32-36 hours per week for Deventer/Olst-Wijhe

We temporarily need additional capacity of a Senior Integral Debt Counselor to support our residents. You will be working for the municipality of Deventer/Olst-Wijhe residents.

Your work
As Senior Debt Counselor you are responsible for a department within the team and you will provide substantive guidance to your colleagues. You advise the team manager and identify bottlenecks in workload and work distribution, so that the work runs efficiently. You act as a sounding board for employees and help them with professional and process issues. You monitor the quality and quantity of work and ensure the execution of legal tasks. In addition, you are responsible for process improvement and contribute ideas for innovations within the service. You translate changes in laws and regulations into work processes and procedures. You ensure coordination and cooperation between departments and external partners, such as municipalities and housing corporations. You monitor the progress of the work and follow up on actions that improve cooperation. You provide input for team-wide processes and municipality-wide initiatives. In short, you play a key role in improving both internal processes and collaboration with external partners.

About you

• You have at least 5-7 years of work experience within debt assistance preferably with a large municipality;
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a senior or coordinator within debt counseling
• You have at least a completed HBO/WO level, demonstrable by your education supplemented by relevant courses/seminars
• You are well acquainted with the NVVK debt settlement code of conduct, relevant legislation and the social security system;
• You have at least 3 years of experience and system knowledge of Allegro;

The Budget Advice Bureau Deventer (BAD) is the professional organization for expert, independent and objective budget information, help in preventing, structurally solving and managing money problems and social credit provision in Deventer. The BAD employs about 60 people in different function groups (prevention & early signaling, stabilization & debt settlement, budget management, administration, WSNP-possession, Kredietbank and support to victims of the benefits affair).
