Job Description

The municipality of Emmen is seeking a data specialist to support administrative and data-processing tasks within the organization. This role focuses on the careful processing, verification, and updating of digital data and archives. The work contributes to the accurate and reliable provision of information across multiple registration systems.

Work

The work includes, among other things:

• populating import files in Excel with the file paths of digital scans of environmental permits;
• checking and updating Excel spreadsheets for the video logs and the e-depot;
• conducting quality checks on data entered into Atlantis by volunteers, including family records and certificates, and supplementing or correcting this data as necessary;
• assisting with the testing of Corsa within Atlantis, including verifying functionality and data processing;
• adding and linking additional scans of building permits in Atlantis.

In addition, there may be some light administrative tasks related to data processing and archiving.

Job Requirements

The candidate should preferably meet the following requirements:

• high school level of work and thinking;
• demonstrable proficiency in typing and data processing;
• a meticulous and structured approach;
• proficiency in spoken and written Dutch;
• experience working in Excel;
• familiarity with digital archives and record-keeping systems;
• able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with municipal systems such as Atlantis or Corsa is a plus, but not required.

Organization

The Municipality of Emmen is a public organization that carries out activities on behalf of residents, businesses, and community partners. The data analyst performs tasks within the established work processes and systems of the municipal organization.
