Temporary Replacement Due to Maternity Leave
Due to the maternity leave of one of our tax advisors, the Finance (FIN) team is looking for a proactive and independent interim tax specialist.
In this role, you will work closely with a fellow tax specialist. You will serve as sparring partners and also each take on parts of the work independently.
The municipality of Emmen faces complex tax issues that directly affect public funds and ongoing projects. Your efforts are essential to meeting our obligations to the Tax Authority.
The municipality of Emmen is acting in accordance with a covenant on Horizontal Monitoring with the Tax and Customs Administration.
Together with your colleague, you will ensure that the municipality of Emmen’s fiscal position remains strong.
The following areas will be the focus in the coming months. In consultation with the tax advisor, you will take on (some of) these tasks. In your cover letter, please indicate which areas suit you best and why.
VAT Adjustment Scheme
Correct implementation of the new rules (effective January 1, 2026) regarding major renovation and maintenance services for real estate (€30,000 or more).
VAT deductions and offsets must be carefully tracked for up to four years after the property is put into use.
Vehicle Fleet and Pseudo-Final Tax
In collaboration with the Facilities Department, you will prepare the organization for the additional tax on company cars effective January 1, 2027.
In addition, you will be responsible for preparing an audit of the vehicle fleet (for the year 2026), which must be submitted to the Tax Authority in May 2027.
Work-Related Expense Scheme (WKR)
Ensure the proper completion and verification of the work-related expense scheme.
Horizontal Oversight
Conducting audits in accordance with the multi-year plan to ensure a professional and sustainable relationship with the Tax Authority.
Consulting and Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
Providing solutions to current and complex tax issues.
Demonstrable, up-to-date knowledge of:
