Role description and task arrangements

Quality Advisor for the WMO Social Services Sector

34–32 hours per week
Self-employed Not available

Here's what you will do:

The Social Domain Quality (KSD) team consists of various disciplines, such as quality, functional management, project implementation, and support. As a WMO quality advisor, your responsibilities include the following:

  • You anticipate new developments, bottlenecks, and delays in the progress of work
  • You will contribute to the implementation of new policies, including by developing work processes and providing advice on administrative aspects
  • You will participate in various projects and meetings within the social services sector—both within the municipality and with De Toegang and our service providers.
  • You will support and coach employees on complex cases
  • You review decisions and rulings to ensure they comply with regulations and internal guidelines
  • You will consult with members of the legal department on objections and appeals and provide advice on the impact of valid objections on policy, account management, and implementation
  • You provide input to policy and account teams on issues arising on the work floor and contribute to the drafting of regulations and policies
  • You will be responsible for the collection and analysis of management data

In short: as a quality advisor, you’ll have a varied role in which you ensure that policy, account management, and implementation remain aligned, and in which you maintain close contact with our service providers. In doing so, you’ll help the municipality of Emmen evolve into a learning organization that consciously “does the right things.”

What do you bring?

  • A relevant and completed associate's degree program, such as Social Work
  • Knowledge and experience in the social services sector and the applicable laws and regulations (specifically the WMO)
  • A relevant network within the municipality of Emmen is a plus.

As a quality advisor, you identify problems early on and weigh the various pieces of information against one another in order to reach a well-considered judgment. To do this, the following is important:

  • You are customer- and quality-oriented
  • You anticipate customer needs and strive for continuous quality improvement
  • You are flexible, persuasive, take initiative, and are results-oriented
  • In addition, you are well-equipped to identify norms and values within a team and organization, and you can help bring about change in these areas (cultural change) when necessary
