Location: City Hall (physical presence required due to confidential systems and documents)
Rate: Max €72.00 all-inclusive

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Affairs Officer for the Municipality of Emmen. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate, meticulous, and high-quality processing of data within the BRP and the Civil Registry. You will serve as the subject matter expert for complex issues and contribute daily to the societal reliability of personal registration—a crucial foundation for residents and the government.


What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be the specialist who:
  • Creates, updates, and corrects personal records within the BRP.
  • Reviews complex changes and corrects errors in personnel lists.
  • Prepares and processes documents (birth, acknowledgment of paternity, notice of intent to marry, marriage).
  • Reviews and processes foreign source documents.
  • Advises colleagues and residents on laws and regulations within the Civil Affairs department.
  • Contributes to further improvements in the quality of processes and records.
This job requires careful and ethical execution on-site, as you will be working with sensitive personal information and physical source documents that can only be handled at city hall.

  • College-level work and thinking skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of BRP, the Civil Registry, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Extensive experience with complex cases and source document research.

  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented.
