Role description and task arrangements

Team Permit and Enforcement

What will you do?
You will assess building and demolition plans with respect to structures (including foundation engineering and soil mechanics) and influence on the environment. You will advise the permit issuers. You also advise on construction issues to a number of municipal departments and independently test construction calculations and drawings against the Buildings Decree and derived standards and regulations. You liaise with architects, project developers, external structural engineers and colleagues from your own and other municipalities.
The assignment requires a flexible deployment of hours per week. This deployment will not be filled with permanent formation. If peak load occurs at the Construction Advisory Group, the demand will be higher. On average, the expected deployment is between 10 to 20 hours per week.

What do you bring?
You have at least 3 years of work experience as a structural engineer. You are familiar with the Environment Act and the Building Quality Assurance Act. You also have experience working with information systems, such as Rx.Mission. You go for quality, take initiative and dare to take responsibility for choices within the processes. You have a construction engineering education at HBO level supplemented with courses such as HTI concrete and/or steel, BSEng concrete and/or steel and MSEng concrete and/or steel.

Do you possess these competences?
- You are independent, result and solution oriented;
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- You have a collegial attitude and can easily connect with colleagues within the team and within the municipal organization;
