Role description and task arrangements

In a city in full swing, you will ensure that integrated projects in outdoor space are carried out successfully and on schedule. As Project Manager, you are the face of the client on the project site and ensure optimal cooperation between all parties involved. You are responsible for monitoring the execution of the projects and ensuring that contractual agreements and technical specifications are correctly complied with. This position offers you the opportunity to develop further within management and supervision of integrated contracts, which makes the position unique.


What will you do?

As Management Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising the implementation of integral projects in outdoor space. You will contribute to the successful and efficient realization of projects that contribute to the future-proofing of the city. You have an important role in monitoring the quality, safety and compliance with contracts, and ensure that all parties involved work together effectively to achieve set objectives.

Specifically, you will deal with:

  • In the preparation phase, participate in the preparation of the realization contract, designs, BLVC plan(s) and other work preparation plans.
  • During the execution phase, you will monitor project progress, quality, BLVC and execution costs.
  • You review and test the contractor's plans.
  • You will be responsible for the execution phase of the project (checking: quality, planning, permits, traffic measures, surroundings, checking district notice, term sheets, checking more and less work).
  • You will manage supervisors, chair construction meetings, assess additional and less work and coordinate with the project manager.
  • You are the point of contact for the contractor.
  • You are responsible for completion and handover.

You have extensive experience in supervision and project management within integrated projects in outdoor space. You have a keen eye for detail, know how to set priorities and communicate clearly with different stakeholders. You are proactive, solution-oriented and have a flexible attitude, which enables you to make adjustments when necessary. In addition, you are able to connect quickly with various parties and you are not afraid to take responsibility and hold people accountable.

Job Requirements:

  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably a background in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or similar.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience as a managing director or supervisor within integrated projects in outdoor space.
  • Knowledge of UAV-GC and experience with integrated contracts is a plus.
  • Experience with quality and risk management within projects.
  • Proficient with relevant software such as Relatics or VISI is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to report clearly and effectively.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with short lines of communication.
