Role description and task arrangements
At the Municipality of Schiedam, due to illness, we are looking for a temporary project financial advisor who will be a rock in the financial field for our budget holders (duration 6 to 9 months). What will you do as a financial advisor?
Together with other colleagues, you will provide financial advice and financial support to the Urban Development project teams within our municipality in particular the area developments in our city. Your work includes making financial analyses and conducting credit monitoring and budget discussions. Vre financial issues and files, you will be the point of contact and business card for the teams. You will prepare budget amendments, assist with memorandum entries and advise budget holders on all things money related.
You give concrete and clear financial advice and provide financial support for current issues. You will also look at the story behind the figures. In addition, you support the realization of the planning & control products (budget, annual accounts, management report and technical adjustments)..
Job Requirements
- HBO+ or academic working and thinking level, with background in business economics, general economics or public administration
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the public sector (including application of the BBV), in particular area developments and land operations
