Role description and task arrangements
Schiedam City Council is seeking a content-driven interim Communications team leader.
Due to the departure of the current manager and the fact that the organization is on the eve of a development process, we are looking for an interim team leader.

Assignment Description
As team leader, you are the first point of contact for the team. Based on your personal knowledge and experience, you make an important contribution to municipal communications. Team Communications ensures the strategic, tactical and operational deployment of communications in support of organizational goals.
You manage quality, quantity and timeliness of processes. You promote good cooperation within the team and with the other teams within the municipal organization. In your contacts with the college and the portfolio holder you are a strong interlocutor. You report to the corporate director.
Team
The team consists of about 15 employees, ranging from spokesperson and web editing to communications consultant. Team Communications focuses on themes and topics ranging from area developments and projects to the social domain and security. Communications advises both the organization and the board, directs implementation and handles spokesperson and online communications.
Organization
The city office is located in the heart of Schiedam, a surprising city full of contrasts. A city with historic buildings, mills and harbor cranes that are part of the impressive skyline.
Where artisans, family businesses, young creators, innovators and multinationals have their home. The civil service organization consists of 17 teams with a total of about 600 employees.

- Minimum of 3 years, but preferably more experience in the public sector, preferably within a municipal setting
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- At least 3 years, but preferably more knowledge and experience in the field of internal and external communication in a managerial environment. The main focus should have been on this and not "added to" it
