Do you enjoy helping Schiedam's retail sector and ensuring that Schiedam has a good mix of working, shopping, living and leisure? Are you committed to providing excellent service to our entrepreneurs? Would you like to contribute to that? We would love to get in touch with you! Due to maternity leave of our college we are looking for a replacement.
About the Economy, Culture and City Promotion team
Within team Economy, Culture and City Promotion, the focus is on strengthening Schiedam's business climate. We take economic development in our city further by improving the attractiveness of our city. We ensure that everyone can live, stay and work well in Schiedam. In doing so we make use of the special DNA of Schiedam: a monumental city center (with a special gin history), strong entrepreneurial mentality, broad cultural facilities and many events and activities.
What will you do as a junior retail and entrepreneurial services account manager?
Together with your fellow account managers you are the face for the Schiedam entrepreneurs. To do this well, you will build a network and strengthen contacts between entrepreneurs to strengthen the business climate in Schiedam. For example, you encourage them to unite and develop initiatives and festivities. You will advise on (building) initiatives from an economic perspective. You will regularly visit locations for consultations. You will also build contacts within the municipality and ensure that the needs of the entrepreneurs are properly incorporated by colleagues and in policy documents.
Job Requirements
Team player and working together is in your blood. Your communication skills are excellent. You are a sparring and discussion partner for entrepreneurs. From the municipal interest you have an eye for opportunities, the golden mean, alternatives and sometimes process solutions. You are solution-oriented and strong in maintaining and building your network. Like the entrepreneurs, you go for the right results.

- Point of contact for individual business owners with issues of establishment, zoning, subsidies, regulations, etc. in all retail areas;
- Point of contact for retailers and business associations in the retail areas;
- Grant funding for retailers' and entrepreneurs' associations in retail areas;
- Agenda policy issues around these areas to policy advisors (as needed);
- Participation in entrepreneurial counter SHOP;
- Grant funding under Downtown Incentive Scheme;
- Downtown vacancy rates;
- Participation in premises consultation downtown.
Job Requirements
- HBO work and thinking level;
- Experience in account management economy with a municipality preferably retail;
- Experience with municipal regulations such as zoning, environmental regulations and grants is a plus;
- Experience with service through channels such as website.
