Municipality of Schiedam is looking for an (experienced) A, B and C event permit issuer (especially B and C) for temporary placement

Team Security
Team Safety consists of the sections Security & Crisis Management, Supervision and Enforcement, and intervention on residential nuisance and undermining.
Each section is managed by a team leader. As permit holder H&E, you fall within the Security & Crisis Management section.

Security and Crisis Management
Within Safety and Crisis Management we work on safety and livability in Schiedam. Safety and livability are important components of municipal policy. The team focuses both policy-wise and executive on the following tasks: integral safety policy, public order and safety, crisis management and disaster relief, hospitality industry (including coffee shops and sex establishments) and events. Within the team are the account holders of the police unit, the Care & Safety House, Rotterdam-Rijnmond Safety Region and the Regional Information and Expertise Center (RIEC).

What will you do?
Schiedam hosts more than 350 events annually, ranging from neighborhood barbecues, fairs and neighborhood festivals to large-scale multi-day events such as the International Dutch Distillers Festival (IDDF). You ensure that permits are granted and monitor compliance with regulations.
 
  • Working in a small specialist team with a high workload
  • Dealing with increasing requests for permits, regulations and complex procedures
  • Meeting administrative pressure to set high standards for public order, security and integrity
  • Focus on the simpler hospitality and event applications
  • Requirement: sufficient experience in the legal and/or hospitality field.
