Role description and task arrangements

We are looking for you
Schiedam needs you! We are looking for a neighborhood team supporter for 24 hours per week.

Where will you work?
The District Support Team (WOT) is a network organization in which professionals from different partner organizations, and with different knowledge and expertise, work together. The WOT fulfills a central role in the social domain in providing care and support to residents who temporarily need a helping hand. The neighborhood teams operate in 6 Schiedam neighborhoods, close to the residents. There is also one urban early warning team.
You will support multiple district teams and work closely with a fellow district team supporter.

What will you do?
A neighborhood team supporter has an all-round position with a palette of work and responsibilities. As a district team supporter, you are the first point of contact in the district for many residents, and thus the calling card for the WOT. You welcome residents who report to WOT locations and put them at ease.

Some examples of the work:

service
  • information and advice: explaining services and methods to residents
  • referral to other facilities
  • scheduling of appointments

administration
  • orders, payments and billings of all kinds of items
  • monitoring overviews for the benefit of the teams
  • reservations, managing agendas and co-organizing meetings
  • issuing and collecting laptops, cell phones and key tags
  • Inventory and deliveries of orders to various locations

finance
  • petty cash management
  • handling declarations
  • Place assignments with companies for facilities management

communication
  • passing on updates for the WOT's website
  • process mail and email management
  • maintain business cards, leaflets and news releases

premises and maintenance:
  • contact for mechanics, plumbers, etc.
  • replace contents, arrange repairs for clogs, leaks, breakdowns, etc.
  • key management: management of the tag system for the entrance doors

Job Requirements
You possess MBO work and thinking level.
You are proactive with a positive attitude. You work in a dynamic environment which means flexibility is expected. You are willing to take on whatever is needed in supporting residents and in supporting the team.
Furthermore, you can function well in a team environment and have a results-oriented attitude. You have integrity and handle privacy-sensitive information confidentially. You work accurately and carefully. You have good communication skills, and preferably already have some work experience with social care or welfare organizations.
You are in possession of driver's license B. Possession of a car is an advantage.

In this position, you will work closely with your fellow district team support person. This also means that there may be task emphasis in the division of work with your colleague.

The assignment is initially until October 1, 2025. An extension of the assignment until January 1, 2026 may be a possibility.
