Role description and task arrangements

Due to maternity leave of current team manager Operational Planner, we are seeking temporary replacement.

The function
Within GVB, we are in a state of flux. In recent years, various systems have been implemented, such as EYAS (automatic insertion of streetcar lanes) and DMS (depot management system). All this requires a different way of working and a manager who can guide employees during this transition. You really have an indispensable role in this to help the team, but also the chain partners to work according to the new processes and work instructions.

As team manager Operational Equipment Planner, you and the team are responsible for ensuring that clean, whole and safe equipment is available on time for service operations. Together with your team you will take care of the equipment planning, the location management of currently three bus locations and four streetcar locations, making analyses and proposals for the equipment planning and by good contract management with the team you will keep the company critical installations up and running. In addition, you work closely with stakeholders such as the managers of the Garage Company and Rail Equipment, among others, to further optimize cooperation. You will also work closely with the Safety Coordinator and the Logistics & Resources Coordinator. All in all, a tough responsibility and a tremendously beautiful and challenging job!

It is vital that the Logistics & Resources Department continues to develop and innovate. In short: the position of team manager represents a tremendous amount of diversity and responsibility....

As a team manager, we count on you. Especially when it comes to:
  • People Management. You are an involved and accessible manager who really connects with the team, also you are not afraid to give clear frameworks. Your leadership style ensures that the team gets the best out of itself.
  • You are a change agent who continues to develop the department together with the team. One way you do this is by taking on projects together with the team.
  • You are someone who does not take existing practices for granted but is innovative and creative in improving them.
  • Making connections between all the work disciplines that make up CFP and taking advantage of the freedom in the job (which is plentiful). This is how you achieve maximum results in your own way.
  • Putting the traveler first. Your positivity and hospitality are contagious within your team.
  • Smoothly switch between all the different roles you fulfill. So you're not only a people and project manager, you're also the point of contact for other departments within CFP.

The profile
CFP is a unique company in our region. Knowledge of public transport is therefore a plus, but not a must. So we are looking for a strong manager who feels at home in Amsterdam. Such a team manager who 'sees opportunities and wants to put his/her shoulders to the wheel' and with whom the glass is always half full. In short, we are looking for a change agent and a go-getter who:
  • Working and thinking at the college level.
  • Has knowledge of logistics and logistics processes.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading large teams. For example, in the logistics or technical sector.
  • Understands what hospitality means and can convey this to his/her team.
  • Eager to fill the position yourself. You find your balance between working "inside and outside.
