As a Network Test Engineer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team on our important network infrastructure. You will ensure that our infrastructure meets high quality standards, is always available and secure. Within our infrastructure department you will use your experience in testing infrastructure (Windows, Linux) and setting up test automation. With your position you will be crucial for our colleagues, anywhere in the world, at any time, under any circumstances.
You are involved in the testing processes from start to finish, always providing insight and advice on quality. With your position, you are crucial to our military, anywhere in the world, at any time, under any circumstances.
Responsibilities:
- Thinking along in 'test-driven' requirements, architecture and design;
- Preparation and execution of test plans;
- Set up automated testing where possible;
- Check the automated priming and staging process for functional and non-functional requirements;
- Report test results and provide user documentation.
You work with the production teams, and product owners to incrementally increase the productivity and predictability of various networks. You act as a servant and sparring partner for product owners.
The requested results in this assignment are not only material. It is important in this assignment to work on a shared understanding of each other and of the situation and context in which the relevant issues are taking place, so that this leads to shared principles as a foundation on which to strengthen cooperation.
Must haves:
Candidate has at least HBO working and thinking level (proven by HBO diploma or at least 5 years of work experience).
Candidate is able to act both independently and as part of a team, where the candidate knows how to take a proactive role focused on collaboration.
Candidate is able, based on own knowledge and experience, to apply creative solutions within the domain of work and anchor and document them within the standing organization.
Candidate has at least 3 years of experience as a (Senior) Test engineer.
Candidate has at least 2 years of experience working Agile in an IT infra environment.
Candidate preferably has working experience in the field of testing and test automation a solid knowledge of system administration (Windows, Linux) and IT Infrastructure in general.
Candidate preferably has certification in the areas of TMAP, ISTQB
Candidate preferably has affinity with engineering and Infra-ICT

The department faces a challenging task of doing a remodel 'with the store open'. This while a our technical specialists are in high demand and therefore a 'scarce resource'. It is of utmost importance that the department increases its delivery reliability, because both the operation and chain partners need us to realize strategic plans. To this end, we are optimizing the department's setup and working methods. The working title of this is: 'Working Nice - Getting Smarter - (doing) the Right Things'. We want to optimally organize and facilitate the production teams so that they can deliver focused quality in their area of expertise. By making assignments clear and concrete early in the process, we facilitate the delivery teams to deliver optimally both technically, in volume, in quality and in terms of predictability.
