Job Description:
As a DDI DC Lan Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining DDI Data Center Services for our client. You will tackle complex challenges on a daily basis. You will translate the chosen strategy into concrete solution building blocks based on the latest developments and work on both the software and hardware sides.
Migration and implementation projects? That’s what really gets you going! 
As a DDI DC Lan Engineer, you’ll work proactively and independently to carry out your duties based on your knowledge and personal approach. This ranges from proposing strategies for lifecycle or innovation projects, translating the design into a tangible solution, and setting up the corresponding rollout instructions. In addition, you’ll serve as a go-to expert for third-line support: when it comes to knowledge, you’re the person to go to. You’ll devise tactical solutions for clients and design them from start to finish. This includes addressing issues related to integrations, migrations, security, automation for deployments based on Ansible, and determining required performance metrics (SLA and KPI standards for availability). In short, a varied job with a lot of autonomy!

You are familiar with several of the products, technologies, and areas of expertise listed below and regularly apply them in your work. Certification is preferred:

  • Linux scripting

Responsible for:
  • Developing the DDI infrastructure from a High-Level Design to a Detailed Level Design,
  • Implementing the functionality based on the requirements.
  • A description of the functional and non-functional requirements for each technical component.
  • Providing testers with information about test scripts and use cases.
  • Building and configuring the requested functionality.
  • The development of installation scripts and configuration scripts.
  • Build, expand, or modify the current situation
  • Manage by resolving issues within incident and problem management. The engineer assists with impact analysis in change management.
  • The documentation of the configurations.
  • Assisting with testing and troubleshooting (in collaboration with the supplier).
  • Writing supporting documentation for products and services.
Specific requirements and responsibilities:
  • Minimum education requirement: MBO level, with experience at the HBO level
  • Member of the Multidisciplinary Agile Team.
  • Willing to work on-call shifts.
  • Holds a Dutch passport
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch
  • A successful security screening
