Role description and task arrangements

SOC Analyst
Start date is following a lengthy screening process (approx. 3 months)

EU Secret-level security clearance required; Splunk knowledge + 1 year of SOC experience

We are looking for an SOC Analyst to join the team that provides 24/7 on-site SOC services to a major client in The Hague. You will work within the dedicated Security Operations Center, covering 24/7 SOC Analyst shifts on-site in The Hague.
You will play a crucial role in the dedicated 24/7 SOC team, collaborating closely and directly with the client. Your expertise is essential for identifying and mitigating risks for our clients, ensuring the highest standards of security monitoring and response.

24/7 SOC Analyst Role Description
The primary responsibility of the SOC Analyst is to work 24/7 shifts on-site in The Hague as part of the dedicated Security Operations Center for a critical client. The primary shift duties consist of monitoring, triaging, and analyzing security events and responding to potential security incidents. In addition to performing these primary shift duties, analysts are responsible for responding to requests from stakeholders, drafting reports, and contributing to the overall maturity and development of the SOC services provided, including, but not limited to, Continuous Monitoring and Response, Detection Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, and Cyber Threat Intelligence. 

Job requirements:
• At least 1 year of proven experience as a SOC Analyst performing shift duties.
• Willingness to work 24/7 shifts at the Security Operations Center located on-site at the client’s facility in The Hague.
• Experience with Splunk or similar Security Information and Event Management platforms.
• Successfully obtain the mandatory Personnel Security Clearance after screening by the relevant authorities. 

Required skills:
• Knowledge of and experience with continuous security monitoring and response.
• Knowledge of and experience with security event analysis and security incident
• Knowledge of and experience with detection engineering is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience with vulnerability management is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience with threat hunting is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience with cyber threat intelligence is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience with writing and optimizing SPL queries is a plus.
• Relevant certifications, such as BTL1/BTL2, GIAC GCIH/GSOM, and CISSP, are a plus
