Role description and task arrangements

As an ecology consultant, you will provide internal advice on the ecological components of various spatial projects and plans so that they can be assessed. You will do this during busy periods and when our permanent consultant is on vacation.

What do we expect from you?

Concrete task areas for which your responsibilities include and for which we require relevant knowledge and experience:
  1. Requesting advice on the Wabo
  2. Advice at our intake and environment table
  3. Answering questions from colleagues

Because in this role you only provide advice when there is increased work pressure or absence of permanent staff, this role requires a high degree of flexibility. You may be called upon at any time, on demand. Intake and environmental table require advice within 3.5 working days. Wabo advice must be provided within a week.


What can you do?
 
  • At least a relevant and completed higher professional education degree
  • Knowledge and experience in the role of ecology consultant
  • At least 3 years of work experience in ecological consulting
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in the field of legislation and regulations relating to nature
  • Knowledge of relevant protected species and areas in relation to the Environment Act
  • Several years of experience within a municipal institution in the province of Utrecht, most recent period of experience no longer than 1 year ago (justifiable due to the province's new NNN policy)
  • Has demonstrable broader experience in the areas of: landscape/water/animal welfare and spatial development.
  • Experience with RxMission
  • Experience with Environmental Tables/Intake Tables
