Role description and task arrangements

Urban Water and Climate Consultant

As anurban water consultant, you will serve as a strategic partner to the management coordinator and project leaders. You will act as the link between outdoor space projects and management, ensuring a holistic approach.

• You advise colleagues within the department and on various projects and collaborate with external parties such as the province, water boards, and other organizations.
• You serve as an advisor at the intake and environmental review meetings and evaluate permit applications, as well as preliminary, final, and implementation designs.
• You define initiatives, propose frameworks for planning and projects, and deliver projects.
• You are responsible for the assessment, delivery, and handover of projects, including entering revision data into the management system.
• You ensure effective participation and communication regarding urban water projects and serve as the point of contact for residents and interest groups regarding new initiatives. This includes answering more complex questions from residents, the administration, and the organization.
• You perform calculations to evaluate designs and create small-scale designs.
• You will initiate improvement proposals based on vision and policy in relation to practical implementation.
• You provide input on strategic policy and can act as a substitute for the manager at the tactical level.
