Project assignment "Further development of the outdoor space theme, Sewage, Water, and Underground Infrastructure department."
Objectives of the assignment
Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a green municipality with about 50,000 inhabitants in seven characteristic villages in a wooded area in the middle of the country. The old cultural landscape and the adjacent river area complete the picture. A very popular place to live, work and relax. With us, the lines are short and the atmosphere is informal. Together with residents, entrepreneurs, partners and administrators we work with vision and ambition on current issues.
Objectives of the assignment
- Further development of the department towards an independent and future-oriented management organization.
- Strengthening the structure, processes, and knowledge retention.
- Promoting uniformity in working methods.
- Promoting cooperation between the department and specialists from other departments and other municipal teams.
- Ensuring a smooth transfer of the department to the newly appointed management director.
- Professionalizing the civil service commissioning role from management to team organization.
- Analyzing regional challenges and comprehensively planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and monitoring measures and projects in collaboration with partners and organizations.
- Guiding and supporting employees in their professional and project-based development.
- Analyzing and advising on improvements to work processes and collaboration.
- Translating policy objectives into manageable and actionable tasks.
- An independently functioning department for Sewers, Water, and Underground Infrastructure, with clear processes, tasks, and responsibilities, which will be ready for transfer to a newly appointed management director on February 1, 2027.
- Area-specific program for integrated projects, work-related projects, and management and maintenance of sewerage and water systems until 2035.
- Preparation of a transfer document for the newly appointed management director.
